Getting to grips with public transport

Author: Abby Lucas

2 Mar 2021

Active trips to school build independence and healthy, resilient students. So we’re on a mission to help students and parents get to grips with public transport. A whopping 89% of secondary schools came on board last year, sharing important tips and information with their incoming Year 7s at orientations and online.

For selected large, metropolitan schools we’ve also produced an additional resource to help the school community to plan their journey. This digital guide contains a general overview of the services that operate to and from a particular school, and can be easily shared on your school’s channels.  Feedback from schools so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with one teacher telling us, “It is a most useful resource, and makes our job easier when parents ask us questions about bus routes”.

Please get in touch if you would like us to consider tailoring information for your school next year.
