Transperth Group Ticketing: Now including buses!

Author: Abby Lucas

10 Dec 2021

Big changes are coming for Transperth Group Ticketing in Term 1, 2022!

For the first time, we’re introducing a Transperth Group Ticket that is valid across the ENTIRE Transperth network – from train to ferry, and now Transperth buses too.

For as little as $1.40 per student and $4.90 per adult return, you can have access to the entire Transperth network. Getting your class to where they need to go is now more possible (and significantly cheaper) than ever!

The process is simple and all we ask is that you enter your booking through the Transperth Get on Board website so we can take care of the rest. We’ll provide you with an itinerary and cost estimate.  On confirmation, we issue an invoice with a Bpoint link for payment via Credit Card.

Once payment is received, you will be sent an e-Ticket and our front-line staff will be made aware of your itinerary.  Print the ticket on the day and show it to your drivers and station staff prior to boarding each service.

Thinking of getting your class out and about? A few things to note before submitting your request:

Know the services you need? Using timetabled services may not be suitable due to time and complexity.  We recommend planning your journey prior to using the Transperth Journey Planner to submitting your request.  If you know the services you need, let us know in the notes section to assist with planning your itinerary.

Wish to travel by bus? Journeys will use in-service buses with existing passengers, so we cannot exceed the patronage limit for each service.  This is 40 passengers, inclusive of adults, per booking when taking a bus.

Travelling by train and ferry only? With higher passenger capacity, larger group sizes are permitted. This may require splitting the group across multiple departure points, managed by station or ferry staff.

Travel during peak times? Unfortunately travel during peak times is not possible due to the capacity needed to accommodate group travel. Avoid planning a trip into or via Perth before 9am, and plan to be off the system no later than 2:45pm.

How much notice do I need to provide? To coordinate the bookings takes us some time. For this reason, we do request your bookings are submitted at least two weeks prior to the date of travel.

What if my numbers are not finalised? Please get your requests in as soon as you know you wish to travel. Changes to numbers can be made in the system until one week out.

What if I need to cancel or postpone? We understand that things can change, so you can postpone or cancel up until the date of travel. If you have already paid and postponement is not possible, an application for a refund can be made.

Thinking of getting your class out and about? Get your bookings in a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your travel – Transperth Group Bookings.

We look forward to having you on board system wide in 2022.
