Here’s what to do:
At least four weeks before your intended date of travel, visit Transperth.wa.gov.au and use the Journey Planner to plan your outing. Please note, that while we realise you may wish to get your group out on the network as early as possible to reach your destination, we strongly advise against travel before 9am. This way you’ll avoid the peak period and it will be easier to keep your group together which makes for a safer journey.
Let us know your preferred travel itinerary by completing this form. This way we can arrange for staff on the network to meet and assist you where possible.
Think ticketing! We think the Smartest way to travel on Transperth is using SmartRider. A Student SmartRider gives access to the 60 cent fare and can be used for travel on all Transperth services. If your students don’t have SmartRiders you can download the
Student SmartRider form
and complete as per the instructions listed.
If your travel occurs on Transperth trains or ferries only, you can access a
to pay for travel. Group ticketing is not valid on Transperth buses.
Catching a Transperth bus as part of your journey? Transperth Education will need to check this is feasible. We will get back to your request for Excursion Planning Help and let you know.
Please remember that schools must provide adult supervision to student ratio in accordance to school excursion policy.
